Rain shortens Thursday practice at Daytona
(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Feb. 14, 2013) -- Officials from Daytona International Speedway and the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) have canceled the remainder of  the Thursday afternoon practice session after 90 minutes due to rain.

The scheduled four-hour practice was in preparation of Saturday’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real. Nearly all of the 44 teams entered in Saturday’s race had nearly 90 minutes of available practice time before it began to rain at Daytona International Speedway. The rain continued, causing the practice session to be canceled.

The next on-track activity will be at 2 p.m. Friday when the Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell will take place.

The final ARCA Racing Series practice will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

The race will be broadcast live on SPEED beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
