Forrister to drive for Cunningham at Talladega

(MOORESVILLE, N.C. - March 26, 2013) - Cunningham Motorsports has announced that Korbin Forrister, the 20-year-old from Cedartown, Ga., will drive the No. 22 Dodge at Talladega Superspeedway in May.

Cunningham co-owner, Kerry Scherer, commented on the team's announcement. "We are excited to have Korbin join us at Talladega. We look forward to he and Tom (Hessert) working together to stay out front."

Forrister, who has 10 ARCA Racing Series starts with Kimmel Racing since 2012, finished a career-best 14th at Mobile Int'l Speedway back in early March.

"I'm very excited to be racing for a team like Cunningham at Talladega," Forrister said. "I hope to continue with their proven success rate they've had with all their drivers over the years. With the help of a great sponsor like Fuzzy Vodka and a team like Cunningham, I feel we can have a successful run at Talladega in May."

In preparation for Forrister's debut with Cunningham Motorsports, he will join his Cunningham Motorsports teammate Tom Hessert at the ARCA open test at Talladega on April 3 and 4.

Forrister has been racing since he was 13, when he began racing go-karts before progressing to dirt late models for his family's Forrister Motorsport team.

The 51st annual Talladega ARCA 250 Friday, May 3 is live on SPEED at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. The event follows the April 28 Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 at Salem Speedway.
