(MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Nov. 13, 2013) – ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver Spencer Gallagher has a new truck for his first visit to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend as he ends his 2013 season with a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.Gallagher will be behind the wheel of the No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado in the final truck race of the season, the Ford EcoBoost 200 Friday.
“Coming off of a successful race at Texas (Motor Speedway) where we met all of our goals, I feel confident heading to yet another new track this weekend,” Gallagher said.
Gallagher finished 10th in the final driver point standings in the 2013 ARCA Racing Series season, despite missing three races on the season. He finished with a flurry, scoring five top 10 finishes in his final eight races of the season, including tying his career best with a second-place at Springfield on the one-mile dirt track at Illinois State Fairgrounds.
He will be making his third Camping World Truck Series start with Gallagher Motorsports. His first truck series start was at Kansas Speedway and his most recent race was at Texas Motor Speedway. Veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup spotter Rocky Ryan will be spotting for Gallagher this weekend, just as he did in his first two truck series starts.
The chassis that Gallagher will be driving will be making its first laps on track this weekend at Homestead.
“Homestead (Miami Speedway) seems to provide a quality on-track race, especially in the truck series each year and I am excited to put our Allegiant Travel Chevrolet in the mix of things,” Gallagher said.
The Ford EcoBoost 200 will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m
