Tim Andrews Gains Attention

STATHAM GA (6-13-07)--Tim Andrews and the #4 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge Charger team will add another first to the list of tracks that the young and talented driver will be racing on Friday in the ARCA 200 at the Michigan International Speedway. Andrews and his #4 Cunningham Motorsports team have scored a 6th place finish at Nashville and a 3rd place at Pocono last weekend. In addition to the outstanding finishes, Tim won the pole at Pocono. Racing at MIS will give Andrews and his team another chance to bring home the checkered flag. Paul Andrews will be back on the box calling the shots for owner Kerry Scherer and Dodge Motorsports. This weekend should be nothing short of another solid performance with the combined effort of Petty Enterprises and Cunningham Motorsports. Andrews's previous performances this year have really shown that he is a true racer and is gaining a lot of attention in the world of stock car racing.

"We are looking to have another successful weekend at Michigan. The team worked really hard and did an awesome job at Pocono leading us into this weekend with a lot of hype. With momentum on our side, I know we will have another solid performance. Michigan is another first for me. This will be the longest track that I have raced on so far in my career. You have to get up and go at this track. Clean air is a premium, providing the front down force that makes the car stick in the turns. I just can't say enough about how much I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to drive this weekend. If we do our job as a team then we should have a lot of success on Friday," said Tim.

The ARCA 200 (100 laps/200 miles) is the 11th of 23 events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Practice begins Thursday, June 14 with a two hour (10:00am-12:00 pm Local Time) session planned. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is slated for later in the afternoon at 3 pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag on Friday at 5:15pm Local Time. The race will be aired on SPEED beginning at 5 pm Local Time.
