Star Headlight & Lantern Company Supports ARCA Safety Initiative

Star Headlight and Lantern Company will supply the emergency service vehicle lighting systems for the Hardcore Motorsports ARCA Safety Initiative “first response” chase vehicle, the safety trucks at both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway, and the ARCA RE/MAX Series Official Pace Car, a 2006 Daytona Edition Dodge Charger.

“Star Headlight is an industry leader in the emergency lighting field, and their support of the Hardcore Motorsports ARCA Safety Initiative is a terrific way to showcase their products across the country,” said Mark Gundrum, VP of Marketing and Communications for ARCA.

The emergency lighting systems to be utilized by ARCA include state-of-the-art rooftop light bars for all ARCA safety vehicles, plus a strobe-light system for the Hardcore Motorsports ARCA Safety Initiative first-response “chase” vehicle. Additional systems will include a “pit-open/closed” device for the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the ARCA sanctioned short tracks.

“Star Headlight & Lantern Co. is very excited to be partnering with ARCA for their safety initiative, and look forward to long relationship” said Christopher Jacobs VP of the Star Headlight & Lantern Co.

Star Headlight and Lantern Co, Inc. was founded in 1889. Since its inception, the company has maintained production in Rochester, NY and vicinity with the current headquarters and manufacturing center in Avon, New York. The Jacobs family has guided the company through five generations of leadership to become a leader in the rail, amber light and emergency lighting markets. The company's history is divided into five eras correlating to the five generations of the Jacobs family ownership. Star Headlight and Lantern produces emergency lighting systems and warning system light bars, strobe lights, and system accessories for the emergency services industry.

The Hardcore Motorsports ARCA Safety Initiative was publicly introduced during the 2005 ARCA RE/MAX Series National Awards Banquet last December. The project has been designed as a vertically integrated safety program within the ARCA Sanctioning Body, focusing on education and information as well as prevailing safety measures and projects.
