Lowinski-Loh to debut Lira Motorsports car No. 38

(TOLEDO, Ohio – June 17, 2015) – Massachusetts racer John Lowinski-Loh is set to make his second ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start of the year in the Scott 150 at Chicagoland Speedway Saturday, June 20. He is rejoining Lira Motorsports, after kicking off the season with the team at Daytona Int’l Speedway in the Lucas Oil 200 in February.

This will be the first race for Lira Motorsports third team car, the No. 38, after running two full-time entries through the first nine races of the 2015 ARCA Racing season. The team also has a fourth car, the No. 36, which it may run in select events later this year.

In John’s start for the team in February, he qualified 22nd in the 40-car field, with no owner points to rely on. Unfortunately, he fell victim to a broken oil line eight laps into the race. After repairs were made, he rejoined the field several laps down. He raced strong and incident free for the rest of the event, running lap times consistently on pace with the race leaders. He ultimately finished in the 33rd position.

In John’s only other career ARCA Racing Series start, he raced to a 10th place finish at Kansas Speedway in 2014.

His car for Chicagoland will carry primary sponsorship from Auto Go. A complete automotive repair service for foreign and domestic cars and trucks, Auto Go has been serving Milford, Massachusetts with auto repair and maintenance services since 1985.

“I am packed and ready to go race at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday in the ARCA series for Lira Motorsports,” said Lowinski-Loh. “I’m honored to be debuting their No. 38 Ford Fusion! This is a huge race for my career, and could really help it move forward. Thank you to my parents, Ford Performance and Auto Go, as well as team owner Carlos Lira and Competition Director Teddy Brown for all the advice and for making this happen so quick. Also, thank you to my fans, friends and family for all the support and caring over the years.”

The ARCA Racing Series drivers are scheduled to have one practice session on Friday, June 19 from 4-5:55p.m. ET. Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell is Saturday, June 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET. The start of the Scott 150 is set for Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. The race distance is 100 laps (150 miles).

In addition to live race coverage on FOX Sports 2, arcaracing.com will feature live timing and scoring of all ARCA on-track activities including practice, qualifying and the race.
