Blake Jones to drive for Lira Motorsports at Iowa Speedway

(MOORESVILLE, N.C. – July 15, 2015) – Blake Jones has visited victory lane at one of the biggest tracks on the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards tour. Now, he’ll try to do the same at one of the smallest.

Jones, the winner of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway earlier this year, will pilot the No. 38 Lira Motorsports Ford Fusion in the #ThisIsMySpeedway150 at Iowa Speedway on Friday, July 17.

The 18-year-old, a recent high school graduate, has competed in three previous ARCA Racing Series races, with his win at Talladega coming in his second career series start. Friday will be his first time on the track at Iowa Speedway, which is a .875-mile oval.

"We are very excited to have Blake come over and drive for us in Iowa," said team owner Carlos Lira. "We’ve had our eyes on him in all three of his ARCA starts this year, and we’re very impressed with his talent behind the wheel.”

“I'm very excited for this opportunity to drive the No. 38 car for Lira Motorsports,” Jones said. “I watched Ryan Reed win with this team a few weeks ago, and I'm hoping to keep the wins going. This team is first class and with a little luck, maybe we will be in victory lane with Teddy Brown and the whole No. 38 crew.”

Blake’s primary sponsors for the race will Asphalt Services of Tennessee (asphaltservicesoftn.com) and the Blake Jones Racing Center. Additionally, season-long Lira Motorsports sponsors Momo, Ford Performance and TraqGear will serve as associate sponsors on his No. 38 Ford Fusion.

The #ThisIsMySpeedway150 will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 on Friday, July 17 at 8 pm CT.
