General Tire 200 at Talladega postponed until Saturday

TALLADEGA, Ala. (May 5, 2017) -- With persistent rain in the area, ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards officials, in conjunction with track officials, have postponed the General Tire 200 at Talladega Speedway until Saturday at 5 p.m. local Central time.

The General Tire 200 will follow the NASCAR Xfinity Series race and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying.

The ARCA garage will open Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

Also, General Tire Pole Qualifying  was canceled Friday, and as a result, the starting field for the General Tire 200 was set by 2016 car owner points.

Saturday's General Tire 200 will air live on FS2. The race will also be featured in live timing and scoring and live chat at

The fastest track the series races on, even with a short amount of practice, use the practice speeds to set the starting grid.  Look at the at the points starting grid and the speed that was posted in the short practice, it is going to be a very cautious first few laps

One week q is rained out you start by practice speed next week you start by 2016 points what is next? I don't care but be consistent!
