ARCA champ Chase Briscoe giving back in Nashville testing

NASHVILLE (March 30, 2018) -- The news just keeps getting better for 2016 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards national champion Chase Briscoe. After announcing that he was adding 5 NASCAR Xfinity Series races with Stewart-Haas Racing to his already busy schedule, the Mitchell, Indiana driver is spending the day with his ole ARCA chums, giving back to the people who helped pave the way. Briscoe is front and center Friday at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.

"I'm just hanging out with Chad (Bryant)," said Briscoe. "He's got a couple guys here he's testing. I'm going to get in the car, check it out and run 10 laps or so. I'm just here to help."

Chad Bryant was Briscoe's crew chief under the Cunningham Motorsports banner during the duo's championship run.

"I don't think people realize how close Chad and I are. We still talk every day. He asked me to come down and help, so here I am."

Bryant recently purchased the assets of Cunningham Motorsports and created his own Chad Bryant Racing team, still utilizing the longtime Cunningham car numbers 22 and 77.

"I wouldn't be where I am today without ARCA, without Briggs and Beth Cunningham, Kerry Scherer, Chad...this core group of guys who gave me this opportunity," Briscoe continued.

And the opportunities for Briscoe just keep multiplying.

"My situation is very unique. My contract is with Ford Performance which opens me up to run for any Ford team. I'll run 12 Xfinity races for Roush, 5 for Stewart-Haas, as many sprint and midget races as I can, 7 IMSA SportsCar races, 2 Trans Am, maybe a Truck race…who knows, maybe even an ARCA race or two.

"I still pay attention to the ARCA website, watch all their races on TV…still very vested in what goes on here. I got my first big break here…ARCA will always be special to me.

"I try and give back every chance I get. Without Briggs and Beth Cunningham, none of this would have happened. I never thought in a million years I'd be doing this. I thought I was going to work a 40-hour a week job and race sprint cars on the weekends. Every door that opened up for me started with Briggs and the Cunningham team. Briggs and I still talk every day…not even so much about racing. A lot of time we talk about basketball. Honestly, we're just really good friends, and I'm blessed to know him."

Good for Chase, especially when helping out Chad Bryant who is the crew chief that led him to a championship. :)

Why do we only see this from the Sprint Car racers? So neat to see racers giving back. Wish the Little 500 Deal would of work out for Chase in 2018! The Brisco Family is a class act!

You are right except for Jeff Gordon.  That little dweeb forgot where he came from.  Nice to see guys like Stewart, Larson, Stenhouse, Allgier, Briscoe, Bowyer and the likes still continue to climb into a dirt car and/or have a team.

Way to Chase! I'm pulling for you. Should come out a day early to run the ARCA/Xfinity double at Pocono in June.
