Extends Partnership with ARCA through 2019
TALLADEGA, Ala. (April 26, 2018) – Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) announced today that CGS Imaging has extended its partnership as the Wide Format Digital Print Supplier of ARCA through 2019. As part of this extension, CGS Imaging will become the sponsor of the CGS Imaging 4 Crown championship.
“We are excited to extend our sponsorship with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards," said CGS Imaging CEO Chuck Stranc. "This year marks the 10th consecutive year of extending our support to the series. To have the opportunity to be the sponsor of the Four Crown Award is a great honor, as it represents the diversity of skills needed to compete in the ARCA Racing Series and beyond.”
The CGS Imaging 4 Crown championship has been a part of the ARCA national tour since 1984 when Davey Allison won the first Four Crown title.
“The CGS Imaging 4 Crown speaks to the very nature of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards,” said ARCA President Ron Drager. “Considering our diverse schedule of superspeedways, intermediate tracks, short tracks and dirt ovals, this award captures what our series is about."
As a snapshot of the tour's diversity, the CGS Imaging 4 Crown provides a link to ARCA's roots by featuring a diverse combination of tracks in any given season. This year's four-race package spreads out from late April through early September, beginning with the General Tire 200 on the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway April 27. The Herr's Potato Chips 200 on the half-mile Madison Int'l Speedway short track follows June 15 before ARCA heads to the 2.5-mile Pocono Raceway triangle July 27. The CGS Imaging 4 Crown will conclude at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile dirt Labor Day Monday, Sept. 3.
CGS Imaging 4 Crown points are distributed based on race finishing positions only. The driver who earns the most points at the four designated 4 Crown events will earn the title and be recognized as such at the year-end awards banquet in December.
Previous CGS Imaging 4 Crown champions include Bob Keselowski, father of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski, NASCAR veteran and former ARCA SCOTT Rookie of the Year Parker Kligerman, and former ARCA nationals champions Tim Steele, Bobby Bowsher, Bill Venturini, Chris Buescher, Grant Enfinger, Chase Briscoe, Austin Theriault and Frank Kimmel. Kimmel is the all-time CGS Imaging 4 Crown champion with seven titles.
