  • The Primera Plastics 200 is the 16th race of 20 on the 2018 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. It is also the eighth round of the 2018 Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge, an eleven-race championship-within-a-championship that takes place on tracks one-mile in length and less throughout the season.
  • At just 0.438 miles in length, Berlin Raceway is the second-shortest track on the 2018 ARCA Racing Series schedule.
  • The Primera Plastics 200 marks the second time the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will visit Michigan in 2018; it joins Illinois (4), Indiana (3), and Pennsylvania (2) as the only states with multiple ARCA events in 2018; Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin play host to single series events throughout the season.
  • There have been 29 ARCA Racing Series events at Berlin Raceway dating back to 1958; previous winners include Frank Kimmel (3), Grant Enfinger (2), Bob James (2), Brian Keselowski (2), Tim Steele (2), Chris Buescher, Fred Campbell, Joey Coulter, Andy Hampton, Erik Jones, Iggy Katona, Bob Keselowski, Justin Lofton, Matt Merrell, Joey Miller, Dalton Sargeant, Bob Senneker, Harold Smith, Les Snow, Scott Speed, Nelson Stacy, Ramo Stott, and Don White.
  • Sheldon Creed leads the ARCA Racing Series championship standings with 4010 points. He has a 235-point advantage over Zane Smith in second. Riley Herbst is third, 450 points back, Travis Braden is fourth 555 points back, and Chase Purdy is fifth, 565 points behind.
  • Chandler Smith continues to lead the General Tire Pole Award standings with 4, all on short tracks. Sheldon Creed has 3. Gus Dean earned his second pole of the season last weekend at Springfield; he also won the pole for the previous series race at Pocono. Carson Hocevar will start from the General Tire Pole in the Primera Plastics 200.
  • There has been a record seven lead changes three previous times at Berlin (2002, 2003, 2010).
  • The record for most cautions at Berlin is 14 set in 2005 in a race won by Joey Miller; a record 85 laps were run under caution in 2000 in a race won by Tim Steele.
  • The record for the fewest cautions at Berlin was two in 2012 when Chris Buescher won the race; just 14 laps were run under the yellow that year. That race featured a 162-lap consecutive green flag run.
  • There have been a total of 81 cautions so far in the 2018 ARCA season, for an average of 5.4 per race; the total number of laps under caution so far is 512, for an average of 34.1 per race. Caution laps are down 7% through 15 races compared to 2017.
  • There have been a total of 129 lead changes so far in 2018 for an average of 8.6 per race. Twenty-five drivers have led at least one lap so far this season; Chandler Smith has led the most at 527. Lead changes are up 20% through 15 races compared to 2017.
