Carson Hocevar and KBR Development Team Up for Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge Chase in 2019

Carson Hocevar will compete in all ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards short track events in 2019 for team owner Mike Bursley. As he did in 2018, when he started three ARCA Racing Series events, Hocevar will drive Bursley's No. 35 KBR Development Chevrolet.

"We are going to compete for the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge in 2019," said team owner Mike Bursley. "We're pretty excited about expanding our schedule and Carson is looking forward to the two dirt races on the schedule as well."

At just 14 years of age, Hocevar nearly won the $10,000 Money in the Bank super late model race at Berlin Raceway in 2017. In 2018, he continued to compete in the super late model ranks while testing the waters in the ARCA Racing Series. He made his series debut at Toledo Speedway and finished eleventh after an early spin. He started from the General Tire Pole in his second start at Berlin before finishing fourth, and closed out his season with a fifth-place finish at Lucas Oil Raceway in October.

The 2019 Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge kicks off on March 9 with a 200 lap event at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Broadcast information will be announced in coming weeks. ARCARacing.com will have live timing & scoring and track updates from all series events free for registered users.

Nice article. However it would be even nicer if Charles Krall could get the team correct in the title. There are like 12 competive teams in ARCA... how difficult is it to get the names of the teams correct?

Charles Krall

Thanks for catching that for me. Sometimes the brain and fingers work independently of one another. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for reading.
