ARCA Champ Chase Briscoe Lands Full-Time NASCAR XFINITY Series Ride for 2019

Chase Briscoe, 2016 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards champion, was named to a full-time ride in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for 2019. Briscoe will drive the No. 98 Nutri-Chomps Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing with Biagi-DenBeste next season, his first run at the NASCAR XFINITY Series championship.

Briscoe ran a limited schedule in 2018 and picked up his first series win on the "roval" at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October. He also won the annual Eldora Dirt Derby for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in July, his only series start in 2018.

“I got a taste of what Stewart-Haas Racing is capable of in the five races I ran with the team this year,” Briscoe said in a team release. “Winning at Charlotte was one of the greatest moments of my career, and I have to thank Nutri Chomps, Ford, Tony Stewart, Gene Haas and Fred Biagi for believing in me and providing this opportunity to race full time.”

Team owner Tony Stewart has long had an eye on his fellow Hoosier state open wheel grad.

“I’ve been paying attention to Chase since he raced sprint cars and I saw how well he transitioned to stock cars,” Stewart said. "He’s learned a lot in a very short period of time and we’re really looking forward to seeing what he can do when he’s in the same car, working with the same crew, week in and week out.”

Briscoe has six career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victories, all in 2016 on his way to the series championship driving for Briggs Cunningham and Kerry Scherer.
