Daytona Countdown: 69

There are 69 days until the kickoff of the 2019 ARCA Racing Series season. No better way to count it down than some numerological ARCA history.

Will Kimmel has made 118 starts in his father's familiar No. 69 Kimmel Racing Ford since 2008. Over that time, Will has racked up 16 top-five finishes and 38 top-ten finishes as well as one General Tire Pole Award at DuQuoin in 2017.

2nd Place through 5th- DuQuoin Post Race Interviews

Will matched his best career finish with a runner-up performance at DuQuoin last September. His other runner-up finishes came at Pocono in 2014 and his home track, Salem Speedway, in September, 2011.

Will continues on the Kimmel family tradition in the No. 69, started by his grandfather Bill, Sr. The elder Kimmel, father of ten-time ARCA driving champion Frank Kimmel as well as Will's father, owner, and crew chief Bill Kimmel, piloted the No. 69 to three career ARCA wins.

The 2019 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season kicks off with the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 9. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the race live, with start time to be announced soon. ARCARacing.com will have complete event coverage, including live timing & scoring and track updates, free for registered users.

Rumor at the Derby was that MDM was shutting down and so was Wintron? Makes no sense, but that was the talk. Let's hope not because that would sure cut the field down even more, and we don't need that!! Rumors!!
