Andy Seuss Leads Final Daytona Practice; General Tire Pole Qualifying Up Next at 3:30 pm ET

Andy Seuss (No. 02 Robert B. Our Company Chevrolet) led Friday's final practice for the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards at Daytona International Speedway. Seuss's fast lap came late in the session when he hooked up in a multiple car draft. He timed in at 49.437 seconds/182.050 miles per hour.

A former runner-up finisher at Talladega, Seuss led a former Daytona pole winner Sean Corr (No. 43 Nesco Chevrolet) who timed in second quickest at 49.522 seconds/181.737 miles per hour. Tyler Dippel (No. 52 Ken Schrader Racing Ford) was third at 49.723 seconds/181.003 miles per hour, Todd Gilliland (No. 4 Frontline Enterprises Toyota) fourth at 49.769 miles per hour, and Riley Herbst (No. 18 Monster/ORCA Coolers Toyota) rounded out the top five at 49.804 seconds/180.708 miles per hour.

Twenty-three teams participated in the final practice session. Notable drivers that elected to not make a lap included last year's winner Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota) and last year's General Tire Pole winner Natalie Decker (No. 54 N29 Capital Technologies Toyota).

There were no incidents on the track, but there were a pair or red flags. The first was for Scott Melton (No. 69 Melton McFadden Agency Ford), who had an oil leak while the second was for Tommy Vigh, Jr. (No. 10 Extreme Energy Solutions Ford) who stalled on track in turn two and needed a push back to the garage.

The next track activity for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will be General Tire Pole Qualifying at 3:30 pm ET; the Lucas Oil 200 driven by General Tire is slated to go green at 4:30 pm ET tomorrow afternoon, February 9, and will be televised live on FS1. ARCARacing.com will have live timing & scoring, live chat, and live track updates free for ARCA for Me members. New members may register at ARCARacing.com/login.

It's 5 o'clock, no steaming, no updates? The most important day of the season and someone's asleep at the switch. What's going on, anyone know?

Steve E

Remember who bought them!

This website is horrible, why don’t they live stream qualifying? It’s hard to navigate

Terry K.

Now that crapcar took over we will probably  never know what's going on with the series.  Nascar is so stupid, They should literally have their own network 24/7

Terry K.

Why do you not at least live stream the qualifying??
