E.J. Tamayo is a native of Miami, Florida, who began his racing career at the age of 10 in go karts. After several years in go karts, Tamayo progressed to Late Models in 2021 when he raced in the Carolina Pro Late Model Series. He made his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2024 and in 2025 plans to compete in at least six ARCA Menards Series East events for Fast Track Racing.
