Hinckle started his own company, KH Automotive, which has been in business since 1999. The company specializes in maintenance and repair of European vehicles such as Mercedes Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar and Porsche. Hinckle himself has been an ASE certified master technician for more than twenty years.
So far, Hinckle has made five starts in the ARCA Racing Series. For 2017, Hinckle has made two starts in the No. 08 car for owner Bill Kimmel, finishing 21st at Iowa, and 29th at Lucas Oil Raceway. He debuted at Michigan; qualifying was cancelled due to inclement weather, and by virtue of his practice speed Hinckle lined up 18th on the grid. As the race got underway he settled into the 19th position, but on the seventh lap huge plumes of smoke went up behind the car. The engine failure would relegate him to a 24th place finish. The following weekend at Chicagoland proved even more trying, as after starting 30th, he was forced to retire the car on the opening lap of the race with further engine woes, finishing 30th. Hinckle is hoping for better luck when he is expected to return to the series in 2016.
