PRACTICE: Rookie Tanner Gray Quickest In South Boston

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. — He may be a rookie, but Saturday’s practice sessions for the WhosYourDriver.org Twin 100s at South Boston Speedway didn’t show it.

Tanner Gray posted the fastest lap around the Virginia short-track in his No. 15 DGR-Crosley Toyota. The twin 100s will be Gray’s fourth and fifth career K&N Pro Series events.

Gray’s quick lap (14.967) came on his 20th lap in the first session (45 minutes) and was third quickest (15.004) in the second 45-minute session.

“I feel really good about the speed we have in the car,” Gray said. “This is probably the best we’ve unloaded all year and I’m really excited to get to the race […] I think we’ve made good adjustments throughout practice today to set ourselves up for the race.”
