General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 Post-Race Notes

Ty Majeski (No. 22 Crestliner Ford) won the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 at Pocono, his second consecutive ARCA Menards Series win. He also won the last series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He’s the second driver to win back-to-back races in 2019. Michael Self (No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota) won earlier in the season at Five Flags Speedway and Salem Speedway. The last driver to win three ARCA Menards Series races in a row was Austin Theriault, who won three consecutive races at Road America, DuQuoin, and Salem in 2017.

Riley Herbst led 68 laps on Friday, the most he’s led in a single race in his ARCA Menards Series career. The runner-up finish at Pocono was the sixth time in his career and second time in 2019 that he finished second.

Majeski’s win extended the streak of new winners at Pocono to 27 consecutive races, dating back to June 2006.

Bret Holmes (No. 23 Holmes II Excavation Toyota) drove a car that crew chief Shane Huffman brought with him from MDM Motorsports. It was the same chassis that Harrison Burton drove to victory in this race last year.

Milka Duno was at the track, looking for opportunities for the rest of 2019 and into 2020. Duno has 47 career ARCA Menards Series starts dating back to Daytona in 2010. She has one career pole, at Talladega in 2013, and her best careeer finish was at Salem, also in 2013, when she finished eighth.

Venturini Motorsports experienced a battery fire on their No. 15 team transporter on Tuesday night. Three of the four batteries in the tractor were damaged and only some quick repairs by team owner Bill Venturini allowed the truck to be driven to a nearby service station for repairs.

Practice for the VizCom 200 at Michigan International Speedway is slated for 8 am ET on Friday, June 7, followed by General Tire Pole Qualifying at 12 noon, with the 100-lap, 200-mile race slated to go green shortly after 6 pm ET. The race will be televised live on FS1. ARCA for Me members can access free live timing & scoring, live track updates, and live chat for all on-track sessions at ARCARacing.com.
