ARCA Menards Series Returns to FS1 with Friday’s VizCom 200 at Michigan

The ARCA Menards Series VizCom 200 at Michigan International Speedway is the ninth of 20 races on the 2019 schedule. It is the third consecutive superspeedway race and the third consecutive race broadcast live on the FOX Sports family of networks. The race is schedule to be shown live on FS1 Friday afternoon at 6 pm ET following Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying for Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400.

The broadcast will be anchored by veteran motorsports play-by-play announcer Dave Rieff. After spending the last decade calling NHRA drag races, first for ESPN and then for FOX, Rieff returned to his oval track roots in 2019 with the ARCA Menards Series. He will be joined in the booth by analyst Phil Parsons who is in his 16th year of calling ARCA races for FOX Sports. Parsons is a former resident of Detroit and spent his youth at ARCA’s two weekly short tracks, Flat Rock Speedway and Toledo Speedway. The younger brother of ARCA and NASCAR champion Benny Parsons, he’s a former winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR XFINITY Series, and the ARCA Menards Series.

They will be joined on pit road by Dillon Welch. Son of NASCAR on FOX’s Vince Welch, the younger Welch has been hot in USAC Midget competition finishing fifth in Tuesday night’s Indiana Midget Week feature at Montpelier Speedway before making the trip up to the Irish Hills for NASCAR and ARCA coverage. Welch will also work with MRN Radio throughout the weekend covering the NASCAR XFINITY Series.
