ROSEBURG, Ore. — It‘s starting to look like deja vú.
Following his dominant Douglas County Speedway performance last season, Derek Kraus laid down the quickest lap time across two 45-minute sessions in practice Saturday at Douglas County Speedway.
Kraus’ 15.180-second lap came on his 29th of 31 laps in final practice and narrowly bested his Bill McAnally Racing teammate Hailie Deegan’s circuit of 15.210 seconds.
“I feel like we have a really good car for tonight’s race,” he said. “We led a bunch of laps here last year. Hopefully this year we can get our first pole of the season, lead some laps and get the victory.”
