Austin Theriault, the 2017 ARCA Menards Series champion, will make his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut in New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 21.
Theriault, who hails from Fort Kent, Maine, will drive the No. 52 Bangor Savings Bank Ford at the tight one-mile oval located in Loudon, New Hampshire. His teammate for the weekend will be Andy Seuss, who has made three ARCA Menards Series appearances so far in 2019 with a pair of top-ten runs at Daytona and Talladega.
Theriault won in his ARCA Menards Series debut at Michigan International Speedway in 2014 driving for Venturini Motorsports. He outdueled eventual series champion Mason Mitchell and won by nearly five seconds in his only start that season. He would go on to run a partial schedule with Brade Keselowski Racing in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2015 and a partial NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule in 2016 before returning to ARCA in 2017.
In 2017, Theriault piloted Ken Schrader Racing’s No. 52 cars to seven wins, 16 top-five and 19 top-ten finishes in twenty starts. He earned the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge and led team owner Ken Schrader to the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge title as well.
