Toledo, Ohio – The Sherwin Williams Company, Kansas Speedway, and the Automobile Racing Club of American (ARCA) have come to an agreement extending the naming rights of the spring ARCA Menards Series event at the 1.5-mile tri-oval.
For the second consecutive year, the first of the series’ two stops at Kansas Speedway will be known as the Dutch Boy 150. Dutch Boy Paints is a subsidiary of Sherwin-Williams, and is available exclusively at Menards.
The Dutch Boy 150 will take place on Saturday, May 14, prior to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race.
“Fans of the ARCA Menards Series are loyal Dutch Boy customers, which creates a natural extension of a relationship that drives benefits for everyone,” said Michelle Bangs, brand manager for Dutch Boy Paints. “They value do-it-yourself projects and appreciate the simple paint solutions and how-to guidance we provide. We look forward to seeing the fans in Kansas City this May and know they will experience a memorable day at the race track.”
“It’s great to have our partners at Sherwin-Williams and the Dutch Boy brand as the entitlement sponsor of the Dutch Boy 150 at Kansas Speedway for the second consecutive year,” said Jeff Abbott, promotions manager for Menards. “The Menards store just outside the gates at Kansas Speedway has been one of the fastest growing locations in the company and Kansas City is a fantastic market with a lot of very passionate racing fans. We are already looking forward to another great race at one of the sport’s great racetracks.”
The ARCA Menards Series has raced at Kansas Speedway every year since 2001, with two races at the track in 2020 and 2021. The track is the only one on the 2022 ARCA Menards Series schedule with two dates, with the second race slated for Sept. 10.
“The ARCA Menards Series has been an integral part of our schedule every year since 2001,” said Kansas Speedway track president Pat Warren. “The Dutch Boy 150 is the opening act of a great weekend of racing that also features the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR Cup Series. We’ll see some former ARCA winners at Kansas Speedway racing in the Camping World Truck Series and Cup Series races, and we expect some great competition from the young drivers in the ARCA Menards Series as they try to make their steps up the ladder.”
Previous ARCA Menards Series winners at Kansas Speedway include 2021 ARCA Menards Series champion Ty Gibbs, current NASCAR Cup Series stars Ty Dillon, Alex Bowman, and Chase Briscoe, 2020 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion and 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie of the year contender Sheldon Creed, and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series winner Christian Eckes.
