The battle for the 2022 ARCA Menards Series championship continues this Friday evening when the series returns to scenic Watkins Glen International for the running of the General Tire Delivers 100.
The event, which serves as the 13th race of the season, is also the seventh race of the 2022 Sioux Chief Showdown. It’s just the third time the ARCA Menards Series has visited Watkins Glen in series history, with John Finger claiming the inaugural visit by the tour in 2001 and Corey Heim topping the series’ return visit in 2021.
Friday’s race is the second road course event of the season following the Dawn 150 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, which was won by David Gilliland Racing’s Taylor Gray. The event is also one of two events for the series this weekend, with the tour also slated to travel to the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Illinois, for the Atlas 100 this Sunday.
Tickets to Friday’s General Tire Delivers 100 at Watkins Glen International are available. Below is everything to know about the event.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
The battle for the ARCA Menards Series championship took a significant turn in the most recent race at Michigan International Speedway, with Nick Sanchez moving to the top of the standings following a victory in the Henry Ford Health 200.
Sanchez now leads his Rev Racing teammate Rajah Caruth by seven points entering Friday’s race at Watkins Glen International. GMS Racing’s Daniel Dye is third, only nine points behind Sanchez. All three drivers are expected to participate in the General Tire Delivers 100.
In addition to the trio of drivers fighting for the ARCA Menards Series championship, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Brandon Jones is scheduled to make his fourth start of the season in a car fielded by Joe Gibbs Racing. In his previous three starts this year, Jones has victories at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular Austin Wayne Self is also set to join the field for Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event. Self, a veteran of 50 ARCA starts who has one ARCA victory, is entered to pilot the No. 32 for team owner Kevin Cywinski.
Several road course experts are among those entered Friday. They include Parker Chase, who finished second earlier this year at Mid-Ohio for Venturini Motorsports. Other road course experts on the entry list include Dale Quarterley and Stanton Barrett.
After sitting out the most recent event at Michigan due to age restrictions, Taylor Gray and Jesse Love will both return at Watkins Glen. Conner Jones is back with Venturini Motorsports, and Sammy Smith will pursue his third victory of the season driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Christopher Werth, who made his ARCA Menards Series debut at Watkins Glen last year, is back for his second career start. Also entered are South Africa’s Arnout Kok, Dr. Ed Bull and Casey Carden.
