One of the ARCA Menards Series’ longest tenured race tracks in Pocono Raceway welcomes the series for 71st time this Saturday morning for the Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150 (8:30 a.m. ET on FS1/FloRacing).
The 2.5-mile paved tri-oval first hosted the ARCA Menards Series in 1969, when Bobby Watson conquered the track known as the ‘Tricky Triangle.’ No further ARCA Menards Series events were held at the facility until 1983 when Bob Schacht picked up a victory. Another short hiatus followed, but Pocono became a permanent fixture on the ARCA Menards Series schedule in 1987, with Schacht again visiting Victory Lane in the series’ return.
Some of stock car racing’s best have earned victories at the venue located in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. They include Bob Keselowski, Lee Raymond, Tim Steele, Jimmy Horton, Jeff Purvis, Mike Wallace, Frank Kimmel, Ryan Newman, Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Justin Allgaier, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Corey LaJoie, Kyle Larson, Cole Custer, Grant Enfinger, Trevor Bayne, Zane Smith, Ty Gibbs, Christian Eckes, Corey Heim and, most recently, Taylor Gray.
With Gray’s victory last year, he became the 31st consecutive different driver to win in ARCA Menards Series competition at Pocono Raceway. No previous Pocono winners are entered Saturday, so a 32nd consecutive different winner is guaranteed.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
Many of NASCAR’s brightest stars have won in ARCA Menards Series competition at Pocono Raceway through the years.
Jesse Love, already a winner of four ARCA events this season with Venturini Motorsports, will be among the drivers looking to add their names to that impressive list this Saturday during the Sunset Hill Shooting Range 150. He’ll also look to pad his lead in the ARCA championship standings.
His competition will include Connor Mosack, who is returning to ARCA competition after last racing with the series at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. Mosack is back behind the wheel of the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, which is currently in a tight battle for the ARCA Menards Series Owners’ championship.

Venturini Motorsports will have a full arsenal ready for Pocono, with Dean Thompson, Conner Jones and Toni Breidinger joining Love in the field. Frankie Muniz, who sits second in the series standings behind Love, is making his first trip to the Pocono Mountains this Saturday with Rette Jones Racing.
Jake Finch is slated to make his first ARCA Menards Series start of the season after competing in the first three events of the ARCA Menards Series East schedule. He picked up his first victory in that series earlier this year at Dover Motor Speedway.
Among those returning to ARCA competition at Pocono are Cody Coughlin, Andy Jankowiak, Jason Kitzmiller, Logan Misuraca and Stephanie Moyer. They will join regular competitors such as Andres Perez de Lara, Christian Rose, Jon Garrett and A.J. Moyer, among others.
