Andres Perez, Matt Ross, Billy Venturini, others earn 2024 ARCA Menards Series special awards

Every season, the ARCA Menards Series offers teams and drivers opportunities to compete for unique special awards that include year-end bonus cash. These special awards are supported by partners such as CGS Imaging, Cometic Gasket and General Tire.

Teams are given the option to pursue these awards by placing the respective decals on their cars for each ARCA Menards Series event. Teams who choose not to run decals related to each specific award are not eligible for any bonuses associated with them.

Here is a look at the special award recipients from the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season.

The CGS Imaging Four Crown is one of the longest running special awards in the ARCA Menards Series. This award provides a direct link to the series’ roots by featuring a diverse combination of tracks during any given season.

Each year, the CGS Imaging Four Crown includes a short track, speedway, road course and dirt track. Points are accumulated by the driver, with the year-end championship and trophy being award to the one who earns the most points across the four selected races.

For the 2024 season, the four races that encompassed the CGS Imaging Four Crown were Talladega Superspeedway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds and Watkins Glen International.

ARCA Menards Series national champion Andres Perez secured the CGS Imaging Four Crown title by accumulating a combined total of 159 points through the four events. Perez’ finishes of eighth at Talladega, second at IRP, third at DuQuoin and fourth at Watkins Glen helped him claim the title by 33 points over his Rev Racing teammate Lavar Scott.

Perez also takes home an additional $3,000 year-end cash bonus by earning the CGS Imaging Four Crown championship.

The Cometic Crew Chief of the Year Award is determined based on a team’s year-long point total based on qualifying and finishing position.

Points are tallied in an inverse manner to the season-long championship, as a qualifying or finishing position of first is worth one point, second is worth two points, etc. The crew chief with the lowest point total at the conclusion of the season is named the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year.

For the second consecutive year, the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year Award was claimed by Matt Ross, who sits atop the pit box for the No. 18 Toyota fielded by Joe Gibbs Racing.

With ARCA Menards Series East champion William Sawalich and Tanner Gray splitting seat time in the No. 18 Toyota, Ross guided the team to 11 victories in the national ARCA Menards Series along with 11 General Tire Pole Awards.

Ross also takes home a $3,500 year-end cash bonus for earning the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year Award.

General Tire Superspeedway ChallengeGeneral Tire Speedway Challenge: Billy Venturini (No. 20 Venturini Motorsports Toyota)

The General Tire Speedway Challenge is a points championship within the ARCA Menards Series specific to the larger tracks on the schedule. These facilities consist of Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Kansas Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Michigan International Speedway.

Eligibility for the 2024 Speedway Challenge season is based on pre-registration and being present at all eligible events. A $35,000 cash bonus will be dispensed to the top 10 car owners that accumulated the most ARCA Menards Series championship points in the superspeedway races.

The 2024 season saw Billy Venturini take the General Tire Speedway Challenge title with his No. 20 Toyota.

With Jake Finch, Dean Thompson and Gio Ruggiero all taking turns in Venturini’s No. 20 Toyota, the team managed to accumulate 231 total points, which allowed them to narrowly defeat the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota by one point in the General Tire Speedway Challenge standings.

Manufacturer’s Title: Toyota (ARCA, ARCA East and ARCA West)

The Manufacturer’s Title is rewarded to the manufacturer that accumulates the most points in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East and ARCA Menards Series West.

How points are calculated for the Manufacturer’s Title is different when compared to the season-long championship. A race-winning manufacturer earns nine points for a given event, the second place manufacturer receives six points while the third obtains four points.

Toyota proved to be a dominant force across the ARCA Menards Series platform in 2024, as they garnered a clean sweep of all three Manufacturer’s Titles.

A Toyota-backed driver won 14 of the 20 events on the national ARCA Menards Series schedule this year. Toyota’s efficiency allowed them to build a comfortable 28-point advantage over Chevrolet for the Manufacturer’s Title.

Toyota was equally as dominant in the ARCA Menards Series West. With Toyota securing checkered flags in eight of the 12 events, they easily pulled away from Chevrolet and Ford for the Manufacturer’s Title, with Chevrolet prevailing in a tiebreaker.

In the ARCA Menards Series East, Toyota battled Chevrolet for the Manufacturer’s Title up until the season finale at Bristol Motor Speedway. The two manufacturers evenly split victories across the eight-race schedule, but Toyota got the tiebreaker over Chevrolet with more top fives on the year.

Since each championship-winning organization used the same OEM throughout the 2024 campaign, all three of them receive a $5,000 bonus from their respective manufacturer.
