PIT BOX: ARCA Menards Series competitors prepare to tackle the high banks and high speeds of Talladega

Of the tracks that have hosted events for the ARCA Menards Series, Talladega Superspeedway is one of many that holds a special distinction in the platform’s long history.

The 2.66-mile complex that opened in 1969 served as the ARCA Menards Series’ first official title sponsor in 1982. Over the ensuing years, Talladega has remained a cornerstone on the ARCA Menards Series schedule, with the list of notable winners including Davey Allison, Grant Adcox, Charlie Glotzbach, Tim Steele and Frank Kimmel, among many others.

One aspect about Talladega that makes it appealing to so many drivers is the draft, which brings the field closer together and creates the possibility of an upset winner. The trade-off is that big packs can lead to elevated danger, as one wrong move in the draft could trigger an accident that eliminates multiple cars.

The risks associated with Talladega are not deterring the current group of ARCA Menards Series drivers making the trip to Alabama this weekend. For some competitors, Talladega is a chance to build momentum. For others, it’s one of the best opportunities to break through as an ARCA Menards Series winner.

Tickets to Saturday’s Alabama Manufactured Housing 200 at Talladega Superspeedway can be purchased here. Below is everything to know ahead of the fourth race on the 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule.

Saturday’s Alabama Manufactured Housing 200 is poised to deliver the largest ARCA Menards Series field at Talladega Superspeedway since 2012.

Leading the charge is Nitro Motorsports, which is bringing a five-car armada to Talladega consisting of Jake Finch, Gus Dean, Jake Bollman, Isabella Robusto and Thomas Annunziata. Nitro is carrying on the legacy of Venturini Motorsports, which won its final ARCA Menards Series event at Talladega Superspeedway last year with Lawless Alan behind the wheel.

Dean and Finch are the only past winners entered for the Alabama Manufactured Housing 200. The two are looking to rebound from a disappointing season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, which saw a potential one-two finish between Dean and Finch evaporate in the closing laps following a late-race crash.

Gio Ruggiero was the beneficiary of that accident and ended up taking home his first ARCA Menards Series victory that afternoon in Daytona. Fresh off his second victory of 2026 last week at Kansas Speedway, Ruggiero looks to continue his momentum by delivering Joe Gibbs Racing its first Talladega ARCA Menards Series triumph.

Another team that has yet to claim an ARCA Menards Series checkered flag at Talladega is Pinnacle Racing Group. The two drivers piloting PRG’s cars this weekend are Taylor Reimer and Jack Wood, the latter of whom is seeking to rebound from a late-race crash at Kansas after he led 39 laps.

The dynamic duo of Garrett Mitchell and George Siciliano, known by their online personas Cleetus McFarland and LS George, are taking part in their third consecutive race together. By earning approval to compete at Talladega this weekend, Siciliano will fulfill a promise he and McFarland made to honor their late friend in NASCAR Cup Series legend Greg Biffle.

Bobby Earnhardt enters Talladega with some optimism on his side, as he earned a ninth-place finish to open 2026 at Daytona. The Earnhardt name is synonymous with success at Talladega, but Bobby is hoping to put together another strong outing Saturday afternoon and climb back into the top 10 of the ARCA Menards Series standings.

Other drivers pursuing a victory at Talladega include Andy Jankowiak, Ryan Vargas, Will Kimmel, Andrew Patterson, Sean Corr, Tim Richmond, Alli Owens and Bryce Haugeberg, among others.

The complete entry list for the Alabama Manufactured Housing 200 will be released later this week.
