May 18, 1953 – Jim Romine earned his first MARC checkered flag by taking the win at Canfield Speedway in the fledgling series’ second race. Romine would go on to become the first series champion and would win 10 times in 19 races in 1953.

May 18, 1968 – Scotty Cain held off Harold Hardesty and Jack McCoy to win the Pacific Coast Late Model Division – now ARCA Menards Series West – Vallejo 150 at the quarter-mile Vallejo Speedway. Ray Elder started on the pole and led the first lap but a broken rear end sidelined him on Lap 2. Cain led the rest of the way.

May 23, 1971 – Ramo Stott earned the 20th win of his ARCA Menards Series career by taking the checkered flag at the half-mile Queen City Speedway outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. It was the second race of the 1971 season to be held at the track, the earlier race on April 18 won by Springfield, Ohio, native Tom Bowsher.

May 25, 1987 – Bruce Haley scored the win in the Busch North Series – now ARCA Menards Series East – Miller American 100 at the third-mile Oxford Plains Speedway. Haley defeated Jeff Stevens, Billy Clark, Robbie Crouch and Buzzie Bezanson. The race, scheduled for 100 green flag laps, went 146 laps due to seven cautions for 46 laps.

Ronnie Bassett, Jr., Jesse Little and Christopher Bell were the remainder of the top five.
